What is the difference between sent items and outbox

Any other ideas?????? Todd Only one other thing that makes any sense to me Thus the problem would exist within the templates. The templates would appear to have the standard type of Outlook habits as far as sending is concerned, except one I have not yet had to physically work with templates, but you can check the following as well.

In the forms "Design View" select Options to activate that forms options message options and check that you have selected to "Save sent items to: Sent Items" Unfortunately this is all else I can think of.

Will continue the search though. Reasons such as off-topic, duplicates, flames, illegal, vulgar, or students posting their homework. Messages that have been sent past tense. A copy of your message is moved into your sentbox from your outbox by your mail service as a part of its mail sending service. It is not sent yet, just saved. Just like a half written letter still sitting on the desk. Outbox Folder - When "Send" is clicked the e-mail is placed here waiting for when the e-mail client connects to the outgoing mail server to pick up the e-mail.

This is like a letter sitting in the mailbox at the end of the driveway with the flag up waiting for the mail carrier to come. If the e-mail has not yet been transferred to the outgoing mail server it can still be retrieved from the Outbox and not sent. Nowadays with high speed internet, most e-mail clients are set so that the instant "Send" is clicked, it triggers the outgoing mail server to pick up all the mail in the Outbox Folder.

But it can also be set so that outgoing e-mail is picked up every X minutes, which was common in the old dial-up days with limited bandwidth. Some people still like to build in a delay so they have some time to retrieve e-mail from the Outbox Folder.

If there is no internet connection or if there is problem connecting with the mail server, e-mail will sit in the Outbox Folder until there is a good connection. Sent Folder - After the e-mail is picked up by the outgoing mail server, a copy is placed here for your reference. It's like making a file copy of a letter before posting it. The presence of an e-mail in the Sent Folder only means that it has left the Outbox Folder.

It does not mean that it was successfully sent or received by the recipient. This is mailing a certified letter with return receipt. Thanks, Richard. How satisfied are you with this reply?
