Why does ben choose courtney
It was time for Ben Flajnik to step up on The Bachelor tonight. And by step up, we mean kneel down. For the second time in his life, the winemaker from Sonoma, Calif. The only question if you can call it that, thanks to all the spoilers waved in our faces was whether he offered up the Neil Lane rock to Lindzi Cox , recipient of the first-impression rose on day one, or Courtney Robertson , the recipient of animosity from every other woman who vied for Ben's affections this season.
We're obviously getting a little ahead of ourselves here the After the Rose ceremony is yet to unfold, after all , but Ben did indeed propose to Courtney in what had to be the most poorly kept finale twist in Bachelor history. The morning-after ratings will tell whether Courtney controversy was enough to keep fans engaged, so to speak, or if it just wasn't worth it to them to see Ben's seemingly ill-fated choice through to the end.
However, the girls were bullying Courtney as well, so she just lost it and then she didn't know how to stop. We saw an ugly side to Courtney in the house and only time will tell if that her true personality and what her true intentions really are. They never thought about whether or not Ben was falling for her. They only thought about the fact that they didn't like her.
They made it be about them, when it was supposed to be about Ben and who would work for him in the end. His sister has a very similar personality to Courtney's in that she doesn't sugar coat and she tells it like it is, so it's not surprising that Ben felt immediately connected to Courtney because she felt familiar to him, like home.
Additionally, did anyone notice that Courtney was actually a prettier version of Ben's sister? Regardless of whether or not Lindzi got naked with Ben was not going to change the fact that Ben fell for Courtney. Ben was captivated by Courtney's flirtiness, their banter and her sexiness. Basically, Courtney Robertson, unlike other Bachelor villains who were less funny and more crazy, made a mockery of the entire proceedings.
She acted like this show was a ridiculous charade instead of a solemn rite of courtship and passage into adulthood. And she was absolutely right to call The Bachelor on its bullshit. And if you were like a lot of people watching this show, even though you knew your mind was being messed with, you bought it. The most surprising part of the finale and post-show special is, in the end, we might have bought it even more than Ben did.
Do we really need a recap? Courtney presents Ben with a cheesy but actually, for this show, classy photo book and letter about her love for him. Now, Courtney. The bushes outside her window? Also, Lindzi is not getting the final rose. Not even the ex who dumped her via text. Ben returns the favor by announcing unequivocally that he could see himself spending the rest of his life with Lindzi.
Is it one of those feelings they talk about in health class? Maybe pick the other girl? Seal of approval!
